As one of the main commodities in Indonesian households, the price of cooking oil has relatively increased since the fourth quarter of 2021. While the majority of cooking oil sold in Indonesia is derived from palm oil, are rising palm oil prices is the only problem? The government has responded with several policy instruments yet it has not guaranteed the cooking oil price stability.
