What is the InternCIPS Program?

InternCIPS is a CIPS internship program for university students or fresh graduates who want to gain professional work experience in one of the Top Think Tanks in the Asia Pacific.

Communications Intern


  • Real-life work experience in the non-profit sector.

  • Work closely with the External Relations team to deliver key messages and engage audiences through key communications channels.

  • Learn how to create clear messaging and promote social impact messages to a target audience. 

  • Expand your professional networks.

  • An allowance. 

  • Certificate and report on completion of the internship period.



  • Work directly with CIPS’ Digital Manager & Graphic Designer to plan and create social media content, copywriting, reporting, and support in managing CIPS’ social media and websites.

  • Assist Events & Partnerships team in marketing and promoting events, research to develop events, copywriting, and develop post-event reports. 

  • Conduct daily media monitoring.


Who can intern at CIPS?

  • Young, proactive & creative individuals between the age of 18 and 25. 

  • Interested in communications for social impact through public policy research and advocacy. 

  • Experience in managing digital platforms (such as social media and websites), creating promotional campaigns, or content creation, is an advantage.

  • Has basic skills in creating layouts on Adobe Photoshop is also a plus.

  • Preferably fluent in English (both speaking and in writing).

  • Can work in a team, and possesses strong self-leadership and initiative.

  • Highly organized and has strong attention to detail.

  • Fully committed to join the program from home for a minimum of 2 months with working hours from 09.00 – 18.00, Monday to Friday*.
