What is the InternCIPS Program?

InternCIPS is a CIPS internship program for university students or fresh graduates who want to gain professional work experience in one of the Top Think Tanks in the Asia Pacific.

Research Intern


Responsibilities & Benefits:

  • You will be working with the research department, especially in writing and analyzing policy papers. 

  • You will be dealing with data interpreting, reviewing the literature, collecting data, transcribing interviews, and communicating with relevant persons such as policymakers and other stakeholders.

  • You will gain an understanding and knowledge about how to conduct research, write a policy brief, and obtain a deeper understanding of analysis on current issues from the perspective of public policy.



Strategy and Development Intern

Responsibilities & Benefits:

  • You will learn more about CIPS organizational development and the delivery of fundraising objectives and efforts. 

  • You will gain experience in research &  in identifying potential opportunities and donors across multiple sectors, as well as in maintaining a fundraising database and ensuring accuracy and consistency across all databases.

  • You will gain an understanding and knowledge of fundraising mechanisms and organizational development in the think tank industry.

  • This position requires proficiency in excel.

Who can intern at CIPS?

  • Young proactive individuals between the age of 18 and 30 who are eager to learn and are interested in public policy research, advocacy, and the think tank world.

  • Preferably fluent in English (both speaking and writing).

  • Has the ability to work in a team or independently.

  • Highly organized and has strong attention to detail.

  • Fully committed to join the program from home for a minimum of 2 months with working hours from 09.00 – 18.00, Monday to Friday*.
