What is the InternCIPS Program?

InternCIPS is a CIPS internship program for university students or fresh graduates who want to gain professional work experience in one of the Top Think Tanks in the Asia Pacific.

Research Intern

Registration: 10 September – 13 September 2021

Benefits of becoming a Research Intern:

You will gain understanding and knowledge about conducting research, writing policy brief, and deeper understanding of the analysis on current issues from the perspective of public policy. You will be working with the research department and help them with:

  • Writing and analyzing policy papers

  • Data interpretation

  • Literature review

  • Data collection

  • Transcribe interview

  • Communicate with relevant person in policymakers and other stakeholders

What Will You Get?

  • Get real-life work experiences in a dynamic work environment.

  • Improve critical thinking, creativity, and learn to complex problem-solving.

  • Receive allowance 

  • Upon successful completion of the program, interns will earn a certificate and report at the end of their internship period.


Who can intern at CIPS?

  • Young proactive individuals between the ages of 18 – 25 who have the eagerness to learn and interest in public policy research, advocacy, and the think tank world.

  • Preferably fluent in English (both speaking and writing).

  • Has the ability to work in a team or independently.

  • Highly organized and attention to detail

  • Fully committed to join the program with working hours from 08.00 – 17.00, Monday to Friday.

Internship Period:

20 September 2021 – 24 December 2021

How do I apply?

The program will be open once the recruitment period started. The process are as follows:

1.     Applications screening.

2.     Interview session (only shortlisted candidate will be contacted).

3.     Announcement and confirmation of acceptance (will be done through email only).
