What is the InternCIPS Program?
​
InternCIPS is a CIPS internship program for university students or fresh graduates who want to gain professional work experience in one of the Top Think Tanks in the Asia Pacific.
​
This program will give you the idea of working in a think tank as a whole, with the main task of helping the research department write and analyze policy papers. You will be dealing with data interpreting, reviewing the literature, collecting data, and communicating with the relevant persons in policymakers and other stakeholders.
​
​Besides research, you will also get to experience a policy advocating process and support CIPS in organizing events and outreach activities.​
​
Registration for InternCIPS Program batch February - July 2026 will be open on January 2nd, 2026.
​
Research Interns​
​
Responsibilities:
-
You will be working within the research department, especially in writing and analyzing policy papers.
-
You will be dealing with data interpreting, reviewing the literatures, collecting data, transcribing interviews, summarizing papers, and communicating with relevant people such as policymakers and other stakeholders.
-
You will gain an understanding of how to conduct research, write a policy brief, and obtain a deeper understanding of the analysis of current issues from the perspective of public policy.

Conducting daily media monitoring.
Who can apply:
-
Young, proactive, creative, and self starter individuals between the age of 18 and 25.
-
Fluent in English (both speaking and writing).
-
Has the ability to work in a team or independently.
-
Highly organized and has strong attention to detail.
-
Fully committed to joining the program for a minimum of 3 months, 8 hours/day with flexible working hours, from Monday to Friday*.

Communications Intern
​
Responsibilities:
-
Working closely with CIPS' Digital Manager and Communications and Outreach Manager to help with copywriting, reporting, and support in managing CIPS’ social media and websites.
-
Working closely with the Events Team to do copywriting and events preparation.
-
Conducting daily media monitoring.

Who can apply?​​

Young, proactive, creative, and self starter individuals between the age of 18 and 25.

Interested in communications for social impact through public policy research and advocacy.

Passionate in writing or content creation
-
Aware with the most recent issues/trending topics, willing to learn, brainstorm, and share it with the team

Fluent in English (both speaking and in writing).
-
Can work in a team, and possesses strong self-leadership and initiative.
-
Highly organized and has strong attention to detail.

Fully committed to joining the program for a minimum of 3 months, 8 hours/day with flexible working hours, from Monday to Friday*.

HRGA Intern
​
Responsibilities:
-
You will be working within the Human Resources & General affairs Department, especially in administering HRGA Administration tasks, managing emails, organizing interviews with shortlisted candidates.
-
Assisting the HR staff in managing CIPS’ General Affairs.

Assisting in the planning of company events.
-
Conducting daily Media Monitoring​​

Interested in managing human resources and general affairs

Fluent in English (both speaking and in writing).

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Can work in a team, and possesses strong self-leadership and initiative.

Highly organized and has strong attention to detail.

Fully committed to joining the program for a minimum of 3 months, 8 hours/day with flexible working hours, from Monday to Friday*.

How do I apply?

The program will open once the recruitment period begins. The stages in the process are as follows:
