About the event

Planet earth is two-thirds water. The State of World Fisheries and Agriculture (SOFIA) 2022 report released by FAO stated that the total of global capture fisheries production reached 90.3 million tonnes in 2020. This number includes 78.8 million tonnes from marine water and another 11.5 million tonnes from inland waters. As such, fisheries and aquaculture contribute significantly to food security.

With the G20 presidency torch passed to Indonesia in 2022, part of the forum aims to explore and identify ways to promote and enforce sustainable fishing practices while simultaneously improving food security, and fishers' livelihoods.

In this light, CIPS together with IPB as the host institution of Think20 Task Force 4 on Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture will host a discussion that  will be held on:

Date  : Thursday, 25 August 2022

Time  : 16.00 - 17.00 (Jakarta Time, GMT+7)
