Dr. Maria Monica Wihardja is on the CIPS board of directors and works as a visiting fellow at the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute in Singapore.
Since completing her PhD in Regional Science at Cornell University, she has acted as a research fellow at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, lecturer at the University of Indonesia, consultant at Bank Indonesia, senior advisor at the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, and economist at the World Bank in Indonesia. In many of these positions, she provided the Indonesian government with analysis and advice on policy issues concerning poverty and inequality, food security, the digital economy, decentralization, as well as regional and global architecture.
