Events manager 

For DigiWeek 2021 Event

(Working Period: July - September 2021)

This position will be responsible for coordinating and successfully executing CIPS’ Digital Week Conference (DigiWeek) 2021 (virtual event). 

The Events Manager will lead teams from the initial conception of the event to its successful completion. This role requires excellent event-planning skills along with the ability to define project milestones and deadlines and coordinate both teams and external contractors to ensure a successfully engaging and meaningful event that meets organizational goals and expectations.

The Events Manager needs to balance creativity with logistics,  financial planning, and vendor management duties. They should excel at multitasking and balancing big-picture concerns like effectively utilizing resources and personnel to online events.

The Events Manager will report to the head of External Relations and coordinate with related CIPS staff members and external events vendors and suppliers.


  • Oversee and lead the coordination of all aspects of event preparations and execution that covers virtual event platform set up, securing speaker and VIP stakeholder attendance, event promotions, show management, and post-event follow-ups with key stakeholders.

  • Monitor and track event preparations to ensure the event is able to meet event goals within the established budget and timeline.

  • Lead and manage CIPS marketing and events staff, external event vendors to deliver required services and tasks. 

  • Prepare a final report and post-event evaluation on whether the event met its KPIs.


  1. Indonesian national.

  2. Have a minimum of 3 years experience in event planning and management, especially online events.

  3. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree/S1 in any field.

  4. Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Indonesian and English.

  5. Strong people and project management skills; includes budgeting and evaluation.

  6. Able to think creatively and provide innovative ideas to solve problems and/or improve current approaches.

  7. Attention to detail, able to learn quickly, and work autonomously in a small team and under pressure.

  8. Strong problem-solving skills, and interpersonal communication skills.

  9. Previous work experience in the public policy or non-profit sector is a plus.

  10. Able to start July, at the latest.
