Events and Partnerships Officer

The Events & Partnerships Officer will be responsible for developing and executing engagement strategies with CIPS’ key stakeholders. They will expand and strengthen positive relationships with important stakeholders to reinforce and further CIPS’ policy advocacy and fundraising objectives.

 

The Events & Partnerships Officer will report to the Head of External Relations and function within the External Relations Department.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience in events management, community development, partnership outreach related work. Candidates who do not have work experience in these fields will not be considered.

  • Indonesian nationals.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree/S1 (in any field).

  • Previous work experience in public policy, development, or non-profit sectors is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia and English, preferably with experience in public speaking.

  • Strong people and project management skills; includes budgeting and evaluation.

  • Able to think creatively and generate ideas for improving engagement approaches and processes.

  • Excellent interpersonal and able to maintain, develop and form a partnership with relevant stakeholders

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • A sound understanding of Indonesia’s public policy landscape.

  • Able to work autonomously, as part of a small team, and under pressure.

  • Able to start end of July 2020.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish positive relationships and networks with CIPS’ key stakeholder representatives. 

  • Proactively investigate the needs and improve stakeholder’s understanding of CIPS’ work and function in order to identify an appropriate value proposition that leads to event and partnership opportunities supportive of CIPS’ profile. 

  • Develops a clear stakeholder engagement strategy that includes, but is not limited to, events and activities to further CIPS’ policy advocacy and fundraising objectives.

  • Formulates event concepts and partnership arrangements that support CIPS’ policy advocacy and fundraising objectives.

  • Lead and deliver professionally executed events, activities, and partnerships with the support of colleagues across the organisation. 

  • Maintains and grows a network and contact database of key stakeholders, event partners, and third-party vendors. 

  • Prepare and produce timely evaluation reports, budgets and forecasts.

  • Host, moderator, And/or MC events organised by CIPS.

  • Assist the Head of External Relations in maintaining a culture of open feedback, continual learning, and ensuring high quality ‘customer’-focused delivery of outputs.
